  8 weeks project work (2 positions)

  During 2007 the new Sharjah Islamic museum of Culture and Arts will
  open. Object conservators are required to prepare existing and new
  collections for display.

  The collection includes metalwork, arms and armour, ceramics and
  glass, wood, leather, manuscripts and books, textiles and stone. You
  will be working with a senior conservator and documentation team
  based in the Archaeology and existing Islamic Museums. Items are in
  process of being prepared for display including mounting, packing
  and documentation. It is an exciting opportunity to work towards the
  establishment of a new museum, with enthusiastic and motivated
  staff.

  Contracts start from February 2007. Salary depending on experience
  is between 8,000-10,000 Dirhams per month. Return economy flight and
  travel insurance covered and accommodation provided.
